Washington, D.C.-based MacRostie Historic Advisors (“MHA”), a national tax credit advisory firm, has acquired New Orleans-based historic preservation consulting firm Clio Associates. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Both MHA and Clio provided historic preservation consulting services to owners, developers, lenders and investors renovating historic structures. With the acquisition, Clio founders Beth Jacob and Gabrielle Begue have joined HMA and will manage the New Orleans office, which will handle projects throughout Louisiana. Anna Mod, a well-known historic consultant throughout Texas and director of MHA’s Houston office, will oversee the New Orleans office as well. Jacob and Beque have been at the forefront of historic preservation projects throughout Louisiana for years. Their work has included The Four Seasons, The Ponchartrain Hotel, and the Peter and Paul Hotel, among many others. MHA now has seven offices across the country and will continue to expand. Founded in 2004, MHA also has offices in Chicago, Boston, San Jose, California and Charleston, South Carolina.
